Clear Plastic Injection Molding
Where Precision Meets Transparency.
Clear parts demand more. PSI brings controlled material preparation, consistent processing, and careful handling to every transparent component — preserving the clarity and cosmetic finish your customers expect, part after part.

Core Capabilties

The clarity your customers can see.

Transparent covers, refrigerator bins and drawers, protective housings, lenses, shelving & displays — PSI's clear part programs are built on three disciplines that work together: surface quality, dimensional accuracy, and material integrity from resin to finished part.

Consistent Cosmetic Clarity
Part-to-part consistency
Appearance standards are defined, documented, and enforced at production volume — not just on first article. Every part leaving the cell meets the same visual benchmark.
Tooling in peak condition
Clear part tooling requires a higher standard of maintenance. PSI keeps surfaces polished and clean so the tool produces the same quality in year three as it did in month one.

Precision Dimensional Performance
Tight tolerances at volume
Stable, validated molding processes support close tolerances across full production runs — not just in the sampling phase when the process is freshly dialed in.
Control at critical interface features
Dimensional focus is applied where it matters most — mating surfaces, snap fits, sealing interfaces, and alignment features that determine whether the part works in the assembly.
In-process measurement
Key dimensions are measured at checkpoints throughout production, not only at end-of-line inspection — catching drift before it becomes a yield or quality issue.
Careful Material Handling & Finishing
Proper resin preparation
Each clear resin — PC, PS & Co-Polyster— has specific drying requirements. PSI's material handling protocols are aligned to each resin's needs, eliminating the moisture-related defects that show up as splay and hazing.
Controlled post-mold handling
Clear surfaces scratch easily and show every fingerprint. PSI's handling and packaging protocols minimize contact with finished surfaces from the moment the part leaves the tool.
Finishing and assembly under one roof
For programs requiring additional finishing or assembly, PSI's in-house capabilities eliminate the inter-vendor transfers that introduce handling damage on clarity-critical surfaces.
Resin Options
Clarity, toughness, chemical resistance. The right resin makes all the difference.
Not all transparent resins behave the same — clarity, impact resistance, UV stability, chemical exposure, and temperature range all vary significantly between materials. PSI will consult with you on your resin needs to ensure full performance requirements of your end product, before a tool is ever cut.

The PSI Difference

Partnership From Day One

From the first design conversation to final assembly, our team works alongside your team at every stage. Engineering, molding, decoration, and assembly all happen under one roof, with a single team accountable for quality, timing, and consistency from start to finish.

No handoffs to outside vendors. No gaps in communication. Just experienced people who know your part, understand your standards, and are invested in getting it right.

Less guesswork.

No surprises.

Better Outcomes.

PSI asks questions before  a tool is cut — what does this part need to do, where does it live, what can’t it fail at? Our engineers work alongside yours from day one, so the people building your parts are in lock step with the people who designed them. Good engineering shouldn’t feel complicated. It should just feel like it works.

Mold Transfer capabilities

Already have tooling? Transferring to PSI is easier than you think.

PSI has a proven process for qualifying and transitioning molds from other suppliers — minimizing disruption to your program while improving the quality, service, and cost structure of your molded parts. Whether you’re reshoring, consolidating suppliers, or simply looking for a better partner, we make the move straightforward.
